Complete upgrade works at the Wogamia manufacturing facility following commissioning of the new aerated static pile composting system. Increased process efficiency and reduced composting footprint provides our client with a number of operational improvements.
A 3,600 m2 concrete pavement has been arranged with twelve sets of aeration pipes connected to two fresh air supply fans. Each aeration bay has its own dedicated air supply and wireless probes are placed in the composting material to provide real time monitoring of temperature.
The automated process can be visually managed from a process computer and specific batch reports are produced to ensure compliance with relevant quality and environmental standards. The aeration system provides an increased process efficiency and enabled to reduce its current composting footprint from approximately 15,000m2 to 5,000m2.
